Privacy Policy

NaturalizeUS ("the App") is developed and operated by ImmSight LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how the App and this website (naturalizeus.immsight.us) handle your information.

ImmSight LLC also operates the ImmSight case-tracking service at immsight.us, which has its own Privacy Policy. The two products do not share data: NaturalizeUS has no account, and nothing you do in the App is linked to an ImmSight account.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

State and congressional district — Used to personalize civics test answers with your local elected officials. Your selection is stored on your device. To load your officials, the App sends your state and district to our API (see below).

Automatically Collected Information

Microphone audio — When you enable "Practice Responding," the App uses your device's microphone to capture your spoken answers. Audio is processed entirely on-device using Apple's Speech framework. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Elected Officials Lookup

The App requests publicly available U.S. government data (governor, senators, representative, etc.) from our API at api.immsight.us. The request contains only your selected state and district; it carries no account, name, or device identifier.
Like every request on the internet, it also carries your IP address and basic browser/device information (user agent). Our servers and our network provider, Cloudflare, record the IP address, request path (which includes the state and district) and user agent of each request for security and operational purposes. We do not use these records to identify you, build a profile, or determine your location, and we do not combine them with any other data.

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers and usage data to serve ads. If you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may show personalized ads. If you deny permission, only non-personalized ads are shown.

You may purchase a one-time "Remove Ads" upgrade to permanently disable all advertisements.

Data Storage

Your state, district, quiz progress, bookmarks, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. None of it is uploaded to our servers, except the state and district sent with each officials lookup described above, which we do not store beyond the request records.

This Website

naturalizeus.immsight.us is an informational site for the App. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. As with our API, our servers and Cloudflare record the IP address, requested page and user agent of each visit for security and operational purposes. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to respond to you.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App contains no objectionable content and is rated 4+.

Your Choices

Tracking — You can allow or deny ad tracking when prompted, or change this anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Microphone — Speech recognition is only used when you enable "Practice Responding." You can revoke microphone access in Settings > NaturalizeUS.
Remove Ads — Purchase the one-time "Remove Ads" upgrade to disable all advertising.
Delete Data — Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
